Hi Folks, do we want to put a link to every page on the community portal or do we want to instead add a link on the community portal to [[:Category:Home]] and start seriously thinking about what category / sub category to pace each article into and start building this out? --[[User:David Mathis|David Mathis]] 12:40, 6 June 2011 (CDT)

:David, if you think that we have enough pages in enough categories to make that worthwhile, I would say fine.  I was just holding it off until I began to see how it worked and we had some pages to make it useful. ::I agree Ted. I think some of the most important links should remain on the portal page as highlighted articles that build the MBT foundation. I wasn't suggesting removing those. I was simply suggesting that at some point, as we create more and more pages, that page will lose effectiveness unless we have a place that people can go like [[:Category:Home]] that organizes the pages into a logical navigable structure. I don't have the required MBT knowledge to know which articles are the most important for the community portal "frontpage". I will have to leave that up to you.

:::It's also worth noting that a page can be associated with multiple categories. Just add multiple category tags to the bottom of a page. The same goes for categories. A category can have multiple parent categories by linking it to multiple categories within the category text.

Couple of examples of what's possible. One simple, one complex. Complex from an outer space view that is. It's our job to make the flow of the tree logical and natural.

Hi Ted, rather than the category page for the acronyms why not use the table page that was really meant to be the entry point for the acronyms? http://wiki.my-big-toe.com/index.php/Acronyms_and_Terminology_Specific_to_My_Big_TOE
